A Little Type A? You’re Just Our Type!

We are currently looking for a team member to join us in the following position:

Project Manager & Professional Organizer

This position blends the foundational role of Professional Organizer with the leadership responsibilities of Project Manager. Descriptions of both roles are listed below.

Professional Organizer

Our ideal organizer would be someone who:

  • has a knack for seeing how to organize items in a physical space

  • is able to quickly learn new organizing techniques on the job

  • obsessively tidies on a regular basis (and enjoys it)

  • is self-sufficient if assigned a task, but is also a team player

  • is self-motivated and can take initiative

  • is not afraid to get their hands a little dirty in a garage or attic

  • is flexible when conflict arises or schedules change (because as we say, shift happens!)

  • is a strong communicator

  • has a great sense of humor

  • has strong problem-solving skills (and probably loves Tetris)

  • is looking for a profession where they can serve others by bringing peace and clarity into a home

  • is intrigued by the idea of working for a faith-based small business run by a group of women who want to welcome a new organizing superstar

  • isn’t looking for a desk job

Job duties include:

  • arriving on site, on time, to projects that vary in location in the greater Nashville area

  • accomplishing tasks as designated

  • accepting direction and training on the ‘Puka way’ of organizing specific spaces with specific supplies

  • communicating with the Project Manager throughout the day on project needs and constraints that arise

  • communicating regularly with the client, Office Manager, and other team members

  • running errands and shopping for supplies as necessary

Project Manager

Our new Project Manager will undergo training as a Professional Organizer and shadow current Project Managers before stepping into a ‘PM’ role.

Project Manager job duties include:

  • aiming to exceed the client’s expectations

  • maintaining a ‘big picture’ view of the project

  • confidently and graciously handling issues that may arise during a project

  • working closely with the client, and monitoring for the client’s: satisfaction, expectations, energy levels, and availability

  • successfully completing projects on time and inline with estimate by monitoring for scope creep, constraints and considerations

  • delegating tasks as needed to other team members and organizers to keep the project moving forward

  • being responsible for supply acquisition

  • sending daily project updates to the client, supervisors, and Office Manager as needed
